The firm of architects Apostoli&Rigamonti in Lurate Caccivio (CO) has chosen Ceramiche Piemme tiles for the Aero Gravity project in Milan: the largest free-fall simulator in the world inaugurated in Pero (MI) in 2017.
"The wooden element completes the picture of the material references used in the project", explains the architect Alessio Rigamonti,"we have selected the Elm effect of the Cottage collection from among the porcelain stoneware tiles, for its warm and natural tone in the slatted version. An ideal solution for the highly-trafficked simulator and the bar area".

Conceived as an iconic element, with its fire red cladding, the new Aero Gravity stands 31 metres high on the skyline of the Expo area of Milan. The interior design hinges on the large transparent simulator cylinder (5.20 m diameter; 21 m total height of which 8 m in crystal glass and 455 m3 volume) and is inspired by the colour studies of Joseph Urban, using degrading elements for the ceiling of the flight chamber and lawn green carpeting to cushion the noise of the simulator.
