The concept of the "Bits & Pieces" collection designed for Ceramiche Piemme focuses its absolute originality on the ingenious decision of Guillaumier to draw from the past decorative subjects to be introduced into the industrial production process of Industrie Ceramiche Piemme, creating a new collection and working, almost playfully, with the rejects, which become precious texture and pattern matrices.
With this one-of-a-kind collection, which associates innovation, concept excellence, antique decorating art and contemporary design, Industrie Ceramiche Piemme has obtained the prestigious accolade, ADI Ceramics Design Award @ Cersaie 2016.
With Shades collection, news 2018, Guillaumier explored the newest frontiers of digital printing to give life to floors and surfaces of artistic inspiration.
The designer wanted to capture the freedom and spontaneity of water-painting, a technique where irregularities and imperfections are closely linked to the manual sign and represent an added value. The collection realistically replicates the delicate and imperfect sign of the designer's brushstroke and the overlapping of colours creating unique nuances.
