INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY: PIEMME’S EVOLUTIONARY JOURNEY

As part of its ongoing growth and renewal journey, Piemme has continued to invest decisively in innovation and sustainability, building an increasingly modern, efficient, and responsible production model. The year 2023 marked a major technological turning point, with the introduction of cutting-edge systems such as a new 170-meter-long kiln, the “Zero Fuel” dryer, and continuous pressing technology. These solutions significantly improved product quality, optimized energy consumption, and made production processes more sustainable. In the 2024–2025 biennium, the company’s commitment continued with new strategic interventions. Among the most significant was the restructuring of the grinding department, which included the installation of two new mills and a high-efficiency pump. This led to a marked increase in production capacity and a reduction in energy impact, while also improving process stability and precision. The final stages of processing also underwent significant upgrades: new polishing and lapping machines further enhanced the quality of the finished product and made operations faster and more efficient. Through these initiatives, Ceramiche Piemme reaffirms its industrial vision: to combine innovation, sustainability, and a focus on quality, shaping an increasingly advanced, conscious, and change-oriented ceramic production process.
