The Big Apple is the starting point of a new American strategy for Ceramiche Piemme USA, with headquarters in New York and a logistics hub in Chicago, in the heart of the Midwest. Andrea Bacchini heads the American branch:
“The US market already accounts for 14% of our exports, a figure that is a few points higher than the Italian average,” explains Bacchini, President of the new US company. “During this delicate period of recovery, in spite of the price increases affecting our sector, we are encouraged by the growing interest in the quality of Made in Italy tiles, as well as by positive signs from the American construction industry.”
Following the decline in the spring, the US construction industry is making a strong recovery, with major investment in construction. The new US subsidiary will allow the Fiorano Modenese-based company to play a more active role in the development of large-scale projects by strengthening its presence in the residential remodelling market, offering comprehensive support to the company’s business partners.
In this regard, Ceramiche Piemme can count on a local stock of particularly innovative products, such as Evoluta: the first collection of stoneware tiles manufactured using an industrial digital printing process (Synchro Digit Piemme) that perfectly reproduces the details of natural materials. The catalogue also includes Glitch, created in collaboration with London firm Benoy, as well as the innovative Materia and Venetian Marble, a collection that combines the technical performance of latest-generation porcelain stoneware with the aesthetic appeal of Venetian Terrazzo.
It is also an important confirmation of the development strategy which, over the course of the last year, has entailed restructuring of governance and production, as well as a new industrial plan which, over the 2021/2025 five-year period, will involve various investments, from process and product innovation to strengthening the sales network.
