Energy efficiency and safety are at the heart of the new ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 certifcations, recently obtained by Ceramiche Piemme after passing strict compliance checks.
For the company from Fiorano Modenese (MO), which had previously obtained certifications dedicated to quality (ISO9001) and the environment (ISO14 001), this is a new goal achieved within the framework of a path of growth and renewal.
This commitment is also reflected in a 2021 budget that closed at +12% on the previous year, reaching 80 million euros, with an export share that climbed to 87%.
“These two certifications are strategic for our development plan. Not only they demonstrate the good work done so far, but I am convinced that they will help us to further improve process management in the company. Therefore, I would like to thank all the people who collaborated for their achievement” underlines Carla Vacchi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ceramiche Piemme.
Specifically, the ISO 45 001 Certification relates to the topics of health and safety in the company and certifies that the internal safety management system, in addition to being compliant with the regulations, is organized to pursue the continuous improvement and reduction of risk factors, in order to protect the health and safety of workers. The ISO 50 001 certification, on the other hand, concerns energy management, a particularly sensitive element at this stage, and demonstrates how the company has been able to equip itself with a system capable of increasing the efficiency of processes, improving the specific and global energy performance, and thus reducing the specific costs of the carriers used.
